A Horror A Day

Halloween is on a Friday, so you can probably binge-watch a few movies. These are the six 2025 horror movies that I suggest you watch.

Halloween season has officially started, and like they say, a horror a day keeps the bad times away.
This year has been great for horror, so there are quite a few movies you can watch this Old Hallow’s Eve. I’m not the biggest horror fan, but this year I was drawn to them. There are few that I absolutely love, and some are even in my top 10 list of 2025 so far.
The best part about modern horror films is that they are mostly original stories, and because of that, the story is usually ten times better than you expect. The films don’t just focus on the scares but also on the narrative, and that’s another reason why I’ve grown to love this genre.
I don’t know what you usually do for Halloween, but if you’re like me, then you just like to spend the night in with a good film. The best part is that Halloween is on a Friday, so you can probably binge-watch a few movies. These are the six 2025 horror movies that I suggest you watch.

Weapons
I watched the trailers for this movie, and I was a little unsure what to think — in fact, it really scared me. Unlike with most movies, I didn’t go watch this on opening weekend. When I finally got to watch it, it immediately became one of my favourite movies. A gripping story that doesn’t shy away from being scary or funny. This one should definitely be at the top of your watch list.

Final Destination: Bloodlines
This is my favourite horror movie franchise. I’ve loved it since I was a kid, and this movie is probably the best one yet. They didn’t shy away from the movie’s absurd premise. The opening scene alone might be one of the best of all films this year. I love it so much that I even have the poster pinned up on my bedroom wall.

The Monkey
I know this is a Stephen King story that came out long before Final Destination, but I feel like the film borrowed from my favourite franchise. It’s a lot funnier, I’d say, but nowhere near as good. It’s just one of those comedy horrors that simply exist for entertainment, which is perfect for Halloween.

The Conjuring: Last Rites
This is the one movie on this list that I didn’t watch, but before anyone says anything, I haven’t watched a single Conjuring movie. The reason it’s on my list is because of my friends’ recommendations. They all seemed to love it, so I assume everyone else will love it as well. Maybe I’ll watch the whole Conjuring series for my Halloween movie night.

Sinners
Believe it or not, I still think this is the best movie of the year. It’s something I can watch over and over again, and it is the perfect Halloween movie. What sets this film apart is that it also has the perfect soundtrack. It’s carried by excellent performances, a gripping story, awesome direction from Ryan Coogler, and enough jump scares to keep you up all night (I’m just kidding).

K-pop Demon Hunters
This one’s for family Halloween night — the biggest Netflix movie ever. The music’s still stuck in my head, and I really don’t mind it. It’s a beautifully animated movie that will stay with you forever. It’s for this reason that I’m recommending six movies instead of just five.

I hope you enjoy these amazing films on Halloween.
