It’s Friday the 13th and that only means one thing, Jason is back! Well, probably.
I’m not a lover of horror movies, but there are some that I love and others that give me a kick of nostalgia. So to celebrate this day of horror, I decided to rate all the Friday the 13th movies, even the ones we don’t talk about.
Can you believe there are only 12 and not 13? What a missed opportunity. I’m going according to Rotten Tomatoes scores on this list. Remember to like, and subscribe. Let’s Get Started!
12. Friday the 13th Part 3
This has 7% on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 42%. And to be honest, I didn’t watch this one and I don’t plan on doing it.
11. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
A score of 11% didn’t do much damage, because this movie was a bust without the critics. At least it was a change of scenery. Sorry Ghostface, Jason came to New York first.
10. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
Leave it Jason to go to hell and survive to once again kill people, even though it was the final Friday. This one has a score of 16%.
9. Friday the 13th – A New Beginning
The scores are going up and this one has 18%, which means it still not good.
8. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Can you believe this one came out before a new beginning? Jason really can’t die. This one has a score of 24%.
7. Jason X
The first Jason movie I watched and it was really funny. The only reason this isn’t lower is because it’s the first Jason movie I remember. It only has a score of 19%.
6. Friday the 13th (2009)
The reboot doesn’t that bad, but not good either. It’s still watchable with a score of 25%.
5. Friday the 13th, Part 2
This one was actually fun and a great slasher film. It has a score of 29%.
4. Friday the 13th, Part VII – The New Blood
Just enough to keep you entertained, it’s not the ideal horror but it is fun. It has a score of 35%.
3. Freddy vs. Jason
I know some people didn’t like this one, but I really liked it. Two cult classic villains going toe-to-toe, what’s there not to like? It has a score of 43%.
2. Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives
Don’t call it a comeback… It was a fun return and a movie worth watching. It has a score of 50%.
1. Friday the 13th
And the only movie with a fresh score of 63% is the original. It is a great slasher film with gory action and one of the best 80s horror movies, period.
