It’s not every day that fans get to gather for a movie they’ve been waiting all year to watch.
On 21 November, South African audiences will get exactly that. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be hosting a Wicked For Good Fan Screening, taking place at CineCentre GrandWest! I’ve been waiting all year to host a fan screening and I think I just found the perfect movie.
The event officially kicks off at 18:00, with the screening starting at 20:00. Fans can book their tickets directly through CineCentre for R120, which includes a medium popcorn and drink combo — the perfect pairing for a night of magic, music, and movie wonder.
This won’t be your average movie night. We’re transforming CineCentre into a fan celebration. Expect a Wicked-themed photo zone complete with a cutout and fun props, perfect for capturing those “defy gravity” moments. There will be vendors selling movie-related merch and other awesome stuff, and fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best cosplay inspired by the world of Wicked and beyond.
As The Movie Guy, I’ve always believed that movies are more than just entertainment, they’re experiences that bring people together. Hosting this event is about more than just watching Wicked For Good on the big screen; it’s about creating a space where fans can celebrate their love for storytelling, theatre, and film as a community.
This fan screening wouldn’t be possible without the support of CineCentre, who’ve helped make this celebration a reality. And this is just the beginning, I’m looking forward to partnering with even more local businesses and brands to bring unique fan experiences to South African movie lovers in the months ahead.
So, grab your friends, get your green or pink on, and join me for a Wicked night to remember. Book your tickets now and be part of something truly magical. Please also fill out your information on the event form (fill out here), to make sure you’re entered for the giveaway.
