Another Season of Controlled Madness

The third season Harley Quinn is finally here and it’s been worth the wait. If you love weird and satirical takes on your favourite DC characters, then this one is for you.

I don’t want to say too much, as I will do a full review by the end of the season. What I can say is the show is amazing. Season 3 picks up right after the end of the last season with Harley and Poison Ivy finally together and building their relationship.

This means they go on all kind of crazy adventures, which includes stealing Wonder Woman’s invisible jet and kidnapping the Queen of England at one point, all in the sense of being the bad guys. The show also introduces us to new Bat-family members including the Damian Wayne’s Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl.

Bane is once again one of the funniest characters on the show and there are a few celebrity guests as well (including The Suicide Squad director, James Gunn). I especially loved the third episode where they took a few jabs at the craziness of the awards season.

All and all this season is just as good as the previous two and it might even get better with the episodes to come. Hopefully they keep sticking the landing – supervillain landing that is. Harley Quinn is a unique character and this gives the writers the opportunity to embrace the crazy and wackiness of the DC universe and they definitely do.

My Verdict

The show is phenomenal and so are the characters. All episodes are re-watchable and funny. Don’t expect some kids show, because you will be highly disappointed. Go check out the first two seasons now and have fun on this crazy ride.

My Rating: 9.5 out of 10 – Almost Perfect
