Brendan Fraser is back and it’s great to see him thriving and living life again.
If you grew up in the 90s and early 2000s then you know how special this guy is. He was the hero before modern superhero movies. He is the funny guy before modern woke comedy actors. He was something of everything and it’s great to see him in the limelight again.
So I just want to talk about my four favourite Brendon Fraser movies. I pretty much love all of them, but I decided to narrow it down to four. Everything from The Mummy to George of the Jungle is so much fun and entertaining. So like, subscribe and let’s talk.
4. Bedazzled
I remember watching this movie over and over again as a kid, there was just something really funny about it. If you think about it, it’s actually the perfect romcom. Both Brendan and Elizabeth Hurley are brilliant and all the characters he ends up as, is absolutely hilarious.
3. Journey to the Centre of the Earth
A movie that’s a total adventure and I think it deserves more credit. It was awesome when it came out, and while some of the special effects might have aged badly, the story is one that can reshape father-son relationship. It sucks that we didn’t get to see Brendan in the sequel, but I’m still happy we at least got this movie.
2. George of the Jungle
If you haven’t seen this one yet, then you’re probably stuck in the jungle somewhere. This is one of the funniest movies I can remember from my childhood. It’s basically a better Tarzan story and I don’t regret saying that. Brendan killed it. And I think this is the role that solidified him as one of my favourite all time actors…
1. The Mummy
Now I’m not just talking about the one movie, I’m talking about the whole franchise. This is one of the greatest action adventure movie franchises out there. It’s got everything, horror, action, suspense, drama, romance, comedy and so much more. It still holds up almost three decades later, except for the Scorpion King of course. This makes me feel like it’s time to rewatch it.
So if you want to support the Breaissance then go check out The Whale or Doom Patrol. You can also check out Professionals.
