I love how every single episode of Invincible always keeps me on the edge of my seat.

I love how every single episode of Invincible always keeps me on the edge of my seat.

The fourth season of Invincible is finally here, and once again, the creators did not miss. It’s action-filled, emotional, and beautifully animated. Each episode carries a punch that makes you crave more of the characters and story.

Most superhero shows usually go a little stale after a few seasons, but Invincible somehow keeps getting better and better. Each season has something that makes it special, and this season we might actually see the last of the Viltrumites. There are also many other story threads that slowly unravel in the first three episodes.

I’ll admit, I don’t know much about the comics, but this show is probably the best superhero show at the moment. Each episode feels like a mini movie, and it helps that it has a unique animation style. This season, we also get to meet new characters, like the awesome Grand Regent Thragg, leader of the Viltrumites.

So how do I continue this review without sharing a few spoilers? Well, I’m just going to tell you to go watch the show yourself. Three episodes are now available to stream on Prime Video, and the rest will be released weekly. It is off to an action-packed start.

Season 4 starts a few months after the end of the last season, with the world still recovering after Conquest and Mark’s fight. Allen and Omni-Man (Nolan) are putting a team and weapons together to take down the Viltrumites, and the Guardians are still recovering after the death of Rex.

Each of the first three episodes resolves some of the story threads from Season 3, while others lead into new plots. I binged all three episodes, even after I told myself to watch one at a time—that’s how great it is. Invincible doesn’t disappoint, and I really hope everyone is ready to see their favourite heroes fight, lose, and win this season.
