In what seemed like a year filled with more twists than an M. Night Shyamalan movie, I have some more turn of events for you.
So if you’d please indulge me for a few minutes, I have some bad news and some good news. The good news is, I’m planning on showing up at Comic Con Africa this year. My media invite is waiting in my emails, but the bad news is I’m going to to need some help.
I missed out on Comic Con Africa 2023, but it’s not too late to rectify that mistake – I am after all the face of the media at Comic Con. I’ve said too much…. or maybe I haven’t said enough yet. As with all twists, here comes another.
So this one time (not at band camp) I was asked to pose for some cute for someone. I know what you might be thinking, but no, this wasn’t a scene out of Titanic. They just thought I looked cool because I was with the media and talking to “Spider-Men”, J. Jonah Jameson would not have been happy about that. Luckily I had already quit my job at the Daily Bugle.
Alright, enough with the movie and comic references. Anyway, one of these pictures went viral in the Comic Con Africa offices and by some lucky shot it ended up being chosen as the media application ad for this year’s event. Which obviously means this handsome face represents the media.

Now I’m a humble guy. Very demure. Very mindful. So this isn’t just a win for me, but a big win for all of us. It’s an important day in the history of Namibian journalism… And you are welcome. I’m excited to represent Namibia and to once again report directly from Jo’burg to the Land of the Brave.
In all seriousness, I would love to go to Comic Con and create some content and write a few articles. I however can’t afford it. I need my backup and I need that support. Everyone has been so amazing in helping me reach my goals this year.
In the last 3 months my Instagram account had 1 300 000 impressions. My YouTube hit 500 000 total views and my website has received more views than ever before. This side-project of mine has become a full-time job and it’s sort of been anchoring me to this life.
So here’s what I need. I need to pay for transport to get to Johannesburg, shouldn’t be too hard. I need to pay for accommodation when I get there, that’s a little harder. And I need to get a new camera/phone, that’s probably impossible. And lastly I need a picture with Joe Manganiello, definitely not happing.
Here’s how you can help, you can sponsor me with whatever the Lord lays on your heart. Or you can share this post with friends, family, partners, enemies and even me, so I can reach more people. Or you can stare blankly into space and wonder how much of a smile it will put on your face if you commit to helping me in any possible – which will in turn put a smile on my face.
I obviously know not everyone has money laying around, so I don’t expect that unless you’re rich and feel like taking a chance on me. So if you can just send this around and let’s see how many people this article reaches. I hope to get at least 500 people to read it.
If you need more information or if you just want to chat, send me a DM, WhatsApp or email. I’d love to talk movies, TV, gaming, pop culture and Comic Con with you.
