I can’t believe I’ve written 5 cookbooks in about 5 years, and now I think it’s time to hang up my apron.
To make this Christmas season special, I’m selling eBook copies of my cookbooks and it’s only N$100/R100 for all 5 books. And there are three reasons.
One, I think it’s time to leave the cookbook writing to someone else, because it takes a lot of hard work (although I will continue to experiment in the kitchen). Two, most of the cookbooks didn’t sell well and I wanted to give everyone one last chance to be able to afford all my books. And three, I hope to sell enough books to make the Christmas season special for me and those around me.
I started writing the cookbooks because I was broke, unemployed and I was just looking for something to give me purpose. I’ve always wanted to write down my recipes, so I just gave it a shot. When I released the first book, everyone was fast to congratulate me, but I think only about 10 people bought it.
I kept writing and now 5 books later, I haven’t sold as many copies as I would’ve loved to. I spent hours trying to come up with new recipes. I spent hours in the kitchen and I used the money from the previous sales to buy ingredients for my next culinary exploration. I really gave my all to write these books and I added a little love to each recipe.
I know the books aren’t perfect and it’s easy to come across a spelling mistake or bad grammar, but I had to do it all on my own. I wrote, edited, designed, edited again, photographed (well like 80% of it) and tried to do some proofreading myself. I can definitely say it got better with each book.
Each book has a theme and each one means something to me. So if you have read this far and you want to know more about the books, then please continue reading. And if you have read enough and you want to purchase the books then click on this – Buy Now!

The book that started it all. I wrote most of this during the pandemic, even though I started planning and photographing years before. It was my love letter to the food I grew up eating and the new stuff I’ve been trying. The pandemic hit us all hard, so I tried to create recipes that were cheap, but unfortunately I know now that some of them were a little complicated. The book has its faults, but I’m proud of how it turned out. It’s the book that inspired everything that came after.

After Eat Like A Namibian bombed, I thought I should write a few Afrikaans recipes. At first the response was overwhelmingly positive, but the sales weren’t good at all. The book had a bunch of new recipes, as well as translated recipes from Eat Like A Namibian. It was specifically created to add something special to your kitchen while being able to read the recipes in easy Afrikaans. I’m glad I took a chance on it.

My family has a tradition of preparing finger food for parties or Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but we used to buy the boxed or pre-made stuff. I decided enough was enough, why can’t I spend like 12 hours on Christmas Eve to make the best snacks possible, and I did. This book has a bunch of easy recipes for finger foods and it is ideal for Christmas Eve, Game Nights and when you just don’t feel like a full meal. I had a lot of fun writing it and it’s probably the book that I would recommend all home cooks and some non-home cooks should try out.

We all deserve a little comfort food every now and then. After a long day we just want to eat something that can make us happy. I wrote this while going through a really dark time, and I found comfort in cooking, baking and eating. This book is full of some of the most comfiest food you can find. It’s my happy place and I love it. It has easy-to-follow recipes and it can give you an interestingly fun time in the kitchen.
Eat Like A Namibian: Worldwide

I feel like all my years of cooking and writing led to this one book. I’ve never been more impressed by any my work than with this book. It is the one that took the most planning and it took hours and hours of work to get it right. If you want to get to know me, then there’s no better way than through this book. It’s not only the longest recipe book I’ve written, but it’s also the one with the most love in it. It is a culmination of all my books, it’s sort of like the Avengers: Endgame of it all. I’m proud of it and I hope the 3 people who bought it will enjoy it. It’s the one book I use almost every time I cook. It has recipes from my mum, from me and from some other family members. It perfectly combines Namibian/South African cuisine with world cuisine. It’s filled with burger, pizza, bread and meat recipes. And I could’t leave out all the awesome the desserts, I have a sweet tooth. If I can’t be remembered as The Movie Guy, then I want to be remembered as the author of Eat Like A Namibian: Worldwide. Once again, I’m really proud of this book and I hope more people get to experience the recipes.
It’s been a long journey and I’m happy to hang up my apron for now. Thank you if you supported me before. And thank you if you considered supporting me. Each sale goes a long way. I’m currently just trying to survive, and these book sales really helps a lot. So Buy Now if you can.
The Black Friday Combo Deal will expire on 30 November.
