The Mutant Legacy has come to end, which is bittersweet. We finally have mutants and X-Men showing up in the MCU, but it’s also the end of an era that we grew up on. X-Men: The Last Stand was one of my first cinema experiences, so it does sting a little.
Deadpool & Wolverine is out now, so let’s take a look at all the Fox Mutant Marvel Movies and rank them. You can probably guess what I have at the bottom. Let me know how all 14 X-Men movies rank for you.

14. Dark Phoenix
Dark Phoenix is definitely the weakest entry in the franchise. It promised so much and it didn’t deliver. Sophie Turner might have looked like Jean Grey, but she was still struggling to get there. Magneto was once again the star of the show and I do really like the train scene.

13. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Hugh Jackman was amazing, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit made you want more. Liev Schreiber was an awesome Sabretooth, but the awful effects and story took away from what could’ve been a great movie. We needed a more in-depth look at the Weapon X.

12. The New Mutants
I was surprised that this movie wasn’t as bad as people say, although I didn’t find it scary at all. Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik was fantastic and I need her in the MCU. The story felt a little rushed and I feel some critical scenes were cut from the final film, but it’s still fun.

11. X-Men: The Last Stand
They definitely butchered the Phoenix with this one. The only good part was seeing more of Kitty Pryde and Wolverine. The movie should’ve either focused on the mutant cure or on the phoenix, not both. And killing off Scott was a mistake, we never got the Cyclops we deserved.

10. X-Men: Apocalypse
I know some might say this isn’t better than the Last Stand, but that Weapon X scene. We finally got to see the animalistic side of Wolverine. He cut through those guys like they were served on a platter. Quicksilver’s scene was also awesome, this is how you showcase the powers of a speedster.

9. The Wolverine
The Wolverine is a character piece and it focuses on Wolverine seeing his biggest strength as his one weakness. The Japan setting was a welcoming addition to the franchise and the fact that he was still hung up on Jean Grey was great. The third act is overly hated, but I actually kind of liked it.

8. X-Men
The first in the franchise and one of the best of its time. It introduced the X-Men to a new audience, while still keeping us OG fans entertained. I’m still not a fan of the leather costumes. The casting was spot on and the final battle on the Statue of Liberty was phenomenal.

7. X-Men: First Class
The rebooted films were off to a great start. Once again the casting was great and the story amazing. The costumes weren’t bad at all and it really fit the 1960s setting. I also liked the Hellfire Club, but they needed to keep them around for future films. I’m still hoping we get more Emma Frost soon.

6. Deadpool 2
Deadpool was awesome and this one was almost as good, unfortunately it sometimes feel like a product of its time. Some of the jokes won’t be relevant today, because it references pop culture from the year it was released. I do love the X-Force and Josh Brolin as Cable was amazing.

5. Deadpool
It’s safe to say this movie was groundbreaking. It started a new era of superhero/antihero movies and TV shows. Now we have stuff like The Boys and Invincible. Not only that but the movie was awesome. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Wade Wilson and I still love it a lot.

4. X2
Spider-Man, The Dark Knight, Captain America: Winter Soldier and X2 – same chat group. These movies far outshine their predecessors and can be called some of the best sequels ever. I love X2 and you know what, Nightcrawler has always been one of my favourite X-Men. That Magneto escape scene is brilliant.

3. X-Men: Days of Future Past
Days of Future Past is a near perfect superhero movie. It gives us a flawed Charles Xavier and a lost Magneto. This can also be seen as one of the first multiversal superhero movies. The return of the original cast was amazing and the battle with sentinals was awesome. One more thing, Quicksilver was a scene stealer.

2. Deadpool & Wolverine
It might seem a little to early to call, but damn… This movie was awesome. I get it, not everyone agrees, but this film is the perfect sent-off for the Mutant and Fox Marvel films. You can go check out my review, all I can say is we get the best of Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s such a treat to see them going at each other.

1. Logan
This movie got me really emotional. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart’s performances didn’t need to be this amazing. The final act was way better than it needed to be. This in my opinion is one of the best superhero films in existence and it’s hard to top. I literally still cry every single time I watch it. Defne Keen was brilliant as X-23.
