James Gunn finally blew up the internet when he announced what the first chapter of the DC Universe will look like.
The DCEU is coming to an end, but that opens the door to the new DCU. There are still four unreleased DCEU movies and some of these will tie-in to the new DCU. I will talk about them later; today I just want to talk fan casting.
We’re getting a new Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batman and some new characters will also make their debut like Damian Wayne, Booster Gold, Swamp Thing and many others. So let’s talk about casting choices, but first please like, subscribe and share if you still have time. Remember this part one.
Superman
After James Gunn announced that he will be writing a new Superman movie, I took it on me to voice my opinion on who should be cast. You can go check out the video. My choices are:
- Liam Hemsworth – he’s young and can probably bulk up and be the Man of Steel in Superman: Legacy.
- Austin Butler – You have to admit, he can act. And I think he can get into shape to be the Last Son of Krypton.
- Richard Madden – He’s basically Superman already. He might be a little older, but I still think he can do be good Kal-El.
Otherwise and unknown actor can work.
Supergirl
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is going to be awesome, I can feel it. We haven’t had a Supergirl movie since the one in 80s we don’t talk about. I love Kara Zor-El and it would be awesome to give her the chance to shine. My casting choices are:
- Sydney Sweeney – My first and only choice. I want her as Supergirl and I want her to succeed in it.
- Saoirse Ronan – Another great star that can bring some depth to the role. I love her acting.
- Florence Pugh – One of my favourite young actors. I don’t know if she’ll be able to lead DC and Marvel movies, but never say never.
Booster Gold
One of the most underrated DC Characters and one that I love. Booster Gold is fun character and you need someone who can completely embody it. There are already some casting rumours, so let me throw my hat in the ring. My choices are:
- James Roday Rodriguez – So this might be because I’ve recently watched Psych, but also not. I think he has what it takes to be a great Michael Carter.
- Jacob Bertrand – If they’re going to go with a young actor, then Jacob Bertrand is the guy for the job. I would love to see him team up with Blue Beetle.
- Christ Pratt – Pratt is great as Star Lord and that will make him perfect for Booster Gold, but I know fans are divided over this.
And that’s it for now. Check back soon for part two. And remember to like, subscribe and share.
