R10 to Get The Movie Guy to Comic Con

I’m trying to go to Comic Con Africa, and with a single R10, you can help make that happen.

Comic Con Africa takes place in Johannesburg from 24 to 27 September, and I’m hoping to be there to cover the event for The Movie Guy. But getting to Johannesburg, finding accommodation and covering the costs of being there for four days is expensive.

That’s where you come in.

I’m launching R10 to Get The Movie Guy to Comic Con, with a target of R10 000.

Why R10, you might ask?

Because I don’t expect one person to pay for my trip. I want to see what can happen if a lot of people each contribute a small amount.

R10 is the minimum.

If 1,000 people see this campaign and each contribute R10, that’s R10 000. That would more than cover my travel and accommodation for Comic Con Africa and get me much closer to being able to make the trip.

And if you’re able to give more than R10, I’d obviously appreciate it. But I wanted to set the minimum at an amount that most people can realistically afford.

It really can be as simple as R10 from you helping me get one step closer to Comic Con Africa.

But there’s one more thing I need you to do

Seriously. If you can contribute R10, that’s amazing. But if you can share this campaign as well, you could potentially help me reach someone who can.

Put it on your WhatsApp Status. Share it with your friends and family. Send it to someone who loves movies, gaming, comics or Comic Con. Share it on Instagram or Facebook.

You might not be able to contribute, and that’s okay. Sharing this campaign is also a way of helping.

The goal is to get this in front of as many people as possible. If we can reach 1,000 people, and each of those people contributes R10, we can reach the R10 000 target.

So, if you want to help get The Movie Guy to Comic Con Africa, you can contribute R10/N$10 or more through my support page.

And please share this article afterwards.

Let’s see if a bunch of R10 contributions can get me to Johannesburg.
