This year we got a bunch of awesome shows and it’s hard to just pick a few that stood it. I thought long and hard about it and finally decided on my top 10. So let’s go….
10. Pam and Tommy
This show revolves around the lives of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee after their sex tape is leaked to the public. This comedy drama is a fun watch and you kind of get to have a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of these celebrities. It starts Lily James and Sebastian Stan.
9. Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
The show with an annoyingly long name about a real serial killer was a hit. The show was surrounded by controversy and I can see why, but it was still a show that delivered. Evan Peters gave an awesome performance as the titular character.
8. Moon Knight
Unfortunately only one Marvel show made my list and it wasn’t exactly what I expected, but I still ended up loving it. Oscar Isaac delivers a stellar performance as he jumps between all the different personalities. The show also had one of the best MCU visual scenes in years.
7. Paper Girls
The one show Netflix shouldn’t have cancelled. These young ladies were perfectly casted in a show about time travel. It’s a fun adventure and I really wanted to see where the show would go next. Regardless of its cancellation, it still stands out.
6. The Peripheral
This sci-fi show is outstanding. The only reason it’s not higher on my list is because I’m still watching it. Chloë Grace Moretz delivers an amazing performance. It’s definitely a must watch, even it can confuse you every now and then.
5. The Sandman
One of the best comic book adaptations we’ve had in a while and thank goodness it’s not a typical superhero story. The fact that Neil Gaiman himself was involved proves just how much he cares about his characters. This show is simply awesome.
4. Reacher
We’ve all seen Jack Reacher on our screens before, but it was nothing like this. This is almost a direct adaptation from the source material. Alan Ritchson was born to play this role. It’s an action-packed crime drama that will keep you glued to the screen.
3. The Terminal List
Chris Pratt had his work cut out for him and he delivered. This military show is awesome. It has suspense. It has action. It has romance. And most importantly it had heart. It has the formula for an amazing show and it delivered.
2. Andor
Simply the best we got from Star Wars in years. I can almost compare it to The Mandalorian. This was the show no one asked for, and it somehow exceeded all expectations. It was near perfect and it gives us new up for the future of the Star Wars franchise.
1. House of the Dragon
Another show that we had low expectations for since that awful ending to Game of Thrones, but thankfully the creators impressed us. This isn’t just the best drama shows of 2022 but also one of the best shows overall. It sucks that the wait for season 2 will be long, but if it’s anything like season 1 then it will be worth it.
