I can’t believe there are only two months left of 2025, but I’m very excited about a few movies still on the way.
It’s that time of the year when we all try to take things a bit slower—except on Black Friday, of course—and I know most of us love a good movie to relax with. I looked at 10 films we can still look forward to before the new year arrives.
Predator: Badlands – November 7
The Predator series has really impressed me over the past few years, and Badlands looks like it will do it again. Dan Trachtenberg is back in the director’s chair, and he’s already breathed new life into the franchise.
The Running Man – November 14
I think 2025 is the year of Stephen King. All the films and shows based on his work have been hits. Chad Powell takes the lead role this time, and I believe it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Now You See Me, Now You Don’t – November 14
I have a soft spot for movies about illusions, and the Now You See Me series is one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see what the Horsemen are up to this time.
Wicked: For Good – November 21
This is the one I’ve been waiting for. The music, the story, and the world are breathtaking. It’s probably going to steal hearts, and I’m just excited to be back in the world of Oz again.
Zootopia 2 – November 28
I’m not ashamed to say I enjoy Disney movies. The second Zootopia promises even more color and humor, plus this time we’ll be seeing more reptiles.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 – December 5
The first movie wasn’t bad at all—quite nostalgic, actually. Hopefully, the sequel will be bigger and scarier. I know a lot of people are looking forward to this one.
Silent Night, Deadly Night – December 12
Nothing says “Christmas” like a killer in a Santa costume. This film is a retelling of the 80s cult classic, and it looks like something horror fans will love. I’m still deciding if I’ll watch it myself.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery – December 12
Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc is back! The Knives Out films are always special, even if they only come out on Netflix. I think this will be the perfect change of pace if you’re not in the mood for Christmas or family movies.
Avatar: Fire & Ash – December 19
James Cameron takes us back to Pandora, and that alone is reason to be excited. Every Avatar movie is a visual experience you have to see in a cinema. I’m looking forward to the new environments, the new tribes, and of course, the story.
Anaconda – December 26
I know no one really wants to go out right around Christmas, but maybe you’ll be up for watching a movie about a giant snake? Paul Rudd and Jack Black star in a new Anaconda film, and this time it seems there’ll be more comedy than snakes.
The next few months are packed with movies, new TV shows, and Christmas songs, so if you want to stay updated on everything happening in the world of pop culture, follow me on Instagram. I also recently launched a new podcast called Popcorn & Sidequests, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
