The Marvel Cinematic Universe is growing and evolving. In each phase we get new characters and others retire or pass on.
So, after Phase 4 who is the strongest character? Is it one of the Eternals or maybe it’s Thor, some might even say Doctor Strange is the most powerful and I might actually agree with that. But who is the strongest? And I’m only talking about characters that will carry the franchise forward.
I’m not going to include the Celestials or any characters that didn’t actually go into battle. I’m talking about characters that can join the Avengers or actually go toe-to-toe against the Avengers. I’m mostly going to focus on main characters and characters introduced in Phase 4, and who survived.
One character that I’m also going to skip over is Scarlet Witch, because there’s no way to know if she’ll be back, though it has been hinted. Before I list the six most powerful characters, please give this a like, subscribe or follow and let’s get started.
Namor
The Sub-Mariner finally debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel’s first mutant is as powerful as he should be, although I still believe they didn’t use his full potential. Can he go toe-to-toe with Thor? Probably not, but he can definitely stand his ground.
Thor
The God of Thunder is one of only two OG Avengers still fighting the bad guys. He is still one of the strongest Avengers, but his characterisation makes him seem weaker than he actually is. By now he should’ve been taking down Celestials instead of sharing his powers with a bunch of kids.
Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers might’ve only cameoed in Ms Marvel as part of Phase 4, but she is still one of the strongest Avengers. We only got to see a fraction of her power so far. I can’t wait to see what she brings to the table in The Marvels.
Vision
Vision or White Vision, we don’t know much about the character yet, but if he’s anything like the original Vision, than we know he’s a force to be reckoned with. White Vision easily overpowered the Scarlet Witch’s Vision and since this one doesn’t have the conscience problem, he might not pull his punches.
Sersi
Apart from Ikaris and Druig, Sersi might be the most powerful Eternal. She might even be more powerful than some of the big hitters in the Avengers. If it wasn’t for her empathy, she could easily take on some of the biggest heroes. She can manipulate matter, so she can easily turn them all into Lego figurines.
Doctor Strange
There is no doubt that Scarlet Witch is the strongest magic wielder, but she doesn’t have the experience and control like Doctor Strange. And let’s not get started on Strange Supreme from the What If series. Strange even took control over the souls of the damned, and he might be the only one who can stop incursions.
So those are the six most powerful characters in the MCU at the moment. I skipped over Kang the Conqueror as well, since we actually haven’t met him yet. He Who Remains is just a variant. Let me know who you think is the strongest and the one to stop Kang?
